Jurnal Komunikasi, Seni, dan Budaya: Sama Vacca is a scholarly journal that publishes research articles, theoretical studies, and critical reviews in the fields of communication, the arts, and language. This journal is published twice a year, in June and December, by an academic institution committed to advancing knowledge and scholarly practice through a multidisciplinary lens. The name Samma Vacca, which means “right speech” in Pali, reflects the journal’s dedication to presenting knowledge that is honest, high-quality, and ethical.
The scope of the journal encompasses a wide range of interconnected disciplines, including mass communication, interpersonal communication, digital communication, media and journalism, performing arts, visual arts, visual communication design, film studies, visual culture, applied linguistics, studies in Indonesian and foreign languages and literature, as well as language teaching. Furthermore, the journal welcomes interdisciplinary approaches that combine these three main fields within the frameworks of cultural studies, semiotics, or new media technology.
With a spirit of openness and inclusive scholarship, Samma Vacca invites contributions from academics, researchers, practitioners, and students across institutions to submit their scientific works. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure quality and relevance. Through this platform, Samma Vacca aims to foster productive and continuous academic dialogue in the realms of communication, the arts, and language at both national and international levels.
