Abstract


The problem raised in this study about is teacher’s efforts in developing student’s social attitude in Buddhist Sunday School case study at the monastery Buddha Dipa East Lampung. The purpose of this study was to describe the teacher’s efforts in growing student social attitude Buddhist Sunday School with case study design. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this teachers, students, and administrator of Buddhist Sunday School. The object of this research is the teacher in fostering the social care attitude of the Buddhist Sunday School students both in preparation, when the activities take place, or after the activity is completed. This research was conducted from February to May 2019. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity test of the data included credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data obtained were analyzed using Miles and Huberman models, namely data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion. The results of this research are: (1) the teacher’s way of fostering a caring attitude towards Buddhist Sudya School student; (2) teacher’s problem in fostering a social attitude of Buddhist Sunday School students; (3) the experience gained by students after attending Buddhist Sunday Shcool leraning in fostering social awareness.
