Pengembangan Boneka Jari sebagai Media Pembelajaran Jataka untuk Anak Usia Dini di Sekolah Minggu Buddha

Abstract


The lack of teacher creativity in designing classroom learning makes students bored to follow the learning. The purpose of this study is to develop finger puppets as a Jataka learning media for early childhood at the Buddhist Sunday School.

This research is a research and development (Research and Development). The subjects of this study were early childhood students at the Buddhist Sunday School. The development model used is the ADDIE model. The data collected in this study were data from material experts and media experts. The data collection technique in this study was non-test in the form of interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. Data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires, interview guidelines, and observation guidelines. This data analysis technique uses descriptive techniques.

Based on the analysis of data from the material expert questionnaire at meeting I, a score of 59.67 was obtained with a category of less in the Rukkhadhamma Jataka story, while the material at meeting II obtained a score of 68.67 with a category of sufficient in the Bhimasena Jataka story, and the material expert at meeting III obtained a score of 70 with a category of sufficient in the Kalakanni Jataka story with a category of sufficient. The results of the analysis from media experts at meeting I obtained a score of 71.33 with a sufficient category, while media experts at meeting II obtained a score of 72.33 with a sufficient category, and media experts at meeting III obtained a score of 74.33 with a good category. The results of the trial obtained in the use of finger puppet media by teachers were 76.67 with a good category. While the results of the trial of media use by students were 66.33 with a sufficient category.
