Metode Mengajar Buddha (Kajian Majjhima Nikaya dan Implementasi dalam Pembelajaran Abad 21)

Abstract

The problem raised in this research is the unknown method of teaching Buddhism in the Majjhima Nikaya and its implementation in 21st century learning. The purpose of this study is to determine how to teach Buddhism in the Majjhima Nikaya and its implementation in 21st century learning. This study uses library research methods. with a Buddhist approach. The source of library data in this study is the primary text of the Tipitaka, both English and Indonesian translations. Secondary sources used by researchers are general books, internet, magazines and articles related to teaching methods of Buddha. The data collection technique used by the author in research on Buddhist teaching methods is to collect reference sources related to any Buddhist teaching methods through primary and secondary sources. The data analysis used in this study is hermeneutical discourse analysis. The data analysis process in this study went through three stages, namely: (a) analysis during data collection, (b) analysis after data was collected, and (c) analysis in data exposure. The results of the data and literature study found five methods of teaching Buddha in the Majjhima Nikaya. The first is a brief and detailed method contained in the Uddesavibhanga Sutta. The two methods of imagery are found in the Nivapa Sutta and the Culamalunkyaputta Sutta. The three methods of question and answer are contained in the Maha Punnama Sutta. The four methods of analysis contained in the Mulapariyaya Sutta. The five methods of introspection are contained in the Angulimala Sutta and the Ambalattikarahulovada Sutta. The five Buddhist teaching methods that have been found can be applied to modern learning because in the five Buddhist teaching methods there are 4C aspects (Critical Thinking, Communication, Creativity, and Collaboration) in modern learning
